Assessment of prior learning for clinical nutrition students is conducted on a case-by-case basis by the program director, with the assistance of the assistant program director and the student affairs officer. Typically the student is given no academic credit for experiential learning, but may be given “content credit” which allows for a particular course to be waived. Course credit is given for some courses by the University Registrar when a student transfers to UC Davis or in other situations, outlined on the Academic Credit page of the General Catalog.
